Resumo: In contemporary western societies, rational and secular, religion is often represented as being outside the reason and of an intimate nature, these ideas are implicit in the maximum religion is not to be discussed . It would be the opposite field of the organizational world, subject to rationality, objectivity and impartiality of the calculation and which abstracts the private world of religion, domestic activities and everything else that is supposed to be personal and reverse calculation. The idea that gender equality is already consummated it also part of the contemporary imagination, the greater autonomy and representation of women in public space, particularly the increase of its participation in the labor market, would be an evidence that equality is a battle wins. Yet the representations of gender continue to set such womens presence (or absence) in the labor market. Likewise, ideas about religion and religions are not eligible for confinement to precise times and places of worship, meditation or religious practice. Both representations of gender as those about religion and religious diversity interpenetrate the public space, the day-to-day life and social relations, gender relations and work. They fall under the rules and organizational practices, management techniques and the workers themselves try to mix and move between these worlds to build their skills and to managing their professional activity. The question for the aspects and ways in which representations of gender, religion and religious diversity, in its specific social context, unfold and intertwine on perceptions and practices in the organizational environment, and vice versa, the extent to which they point to tensions and trends in the surrounding society, it constitutes the leitmotif of this thesis. In addition to the literature search methodology includes field research in two French business organizations at Brazil and France.
