Resumo: The scope of this paperwork is to research and to learn about the Wesleyan movement in order to affirm or not while in fact it was a charismatic awakening. Through bibliographic researches the focus is to get in touch with the historic rise up of the event focused in the Methodist movement considering the religious experience of John Wesley and its repercussions worldwide. Following the introduction there comes the research focused specifically in the Methodist Awakening and its path to split at Brazilian land considering the Antonio Gouvea Mendonça thesis which affirms the Protestantism has followed the coffee path into Paraná State, specifically, at the City of Londrina. In order to affirm that a research upon historic documents and along some few people directly involved with the awakening at the Londrina´s Methodist Church since its foundation. A special emphasis is given to the ideological differences, to the socio-economic and political circumstances that took place at that time. The Pastoral behavior the Church affirmed while as Institution facing the awakening was studied out of existing documents and Church official Reports. Also what was discussed, agreed and planted along with the Episcopal Board of the Methodist Church over the subject. A document known as Episcopal Letter was treated very carefully as it was the main source to keep the unit of the Church and avoid divisions as in earlier times. Also a special care was given over the need of preservation of its documents as there was the menace of extinction of the agreed position taken by the Church. Finally, to try to better understand and get to know deeply the facts since its beginnings considering the concept and environment they took place. Yet through hearing and talking to eye witnesses of the awakening in Londrina there was driven efforts to check its growing on futures decades by observing it there really was a quality, organic and number growing linked to the awakening. Also to bring a close attention of other researchers for a deeply study at the subject once this single paperwork does not intent to deplete the chosen theme as wide as it is.(AU)
