Resumo: |
This work aims to analyze the invisibility situation of students with high abilities / giftedness, aiming to understand how the imperceptibility of these students works, and what are the reasons that would justify such a situation, since, even though they have the right to specialized educational service recognized In law, these students end up being forgotten by schools, teaching networks and teachers. We investigate how the issue has been addressed in the mainstream press and in official government documents and how they have contributed to the increase / overcoming of invisibility. The field research was carried out with education professionals, teaching networks of Baixada Santista and Grande ABC. Having as theoretical reference the dialectical historical materialism and being a qualitative research, the methodology of the field research counted on the accomplishment of interviews with teachers and students; Teacher training activities on the subject; And questionnaires applied to educators, public education networks, dealing with giftedness / high skills, observing how education workers understand the invisibility of these students. Throughout the studies, we tried to verify the pertinence of three theses, from the specialized bibliography, on the invisibility of the individuals, with high abilities / giftedness, being these: the notion that the lack of consensus on the proper terminology, to refer to the gifted , Is the reason for invisibility; The idea that invisibility is the result of the absence of specific teacher training; The conception that the spread of a set of myths about gifted and high-skilled explain the phenomenon of invisibility. Throughout the research, we seek to verify how the dynamics of the school system, in capitalist society, strongly based on the perspective of production of school failure, especially of the working classes, involves education professionals and school systems, contributing to the invisibility of Students to succeed |
