Resumo: |
The purpose of this research is to study the ethics and constitution of values upon which religious and business fields, and similar contexts, are based, taking into consideration socioanthropological aspects. The ethical values within the business world are gaining increasing importance, not just in the eyes of businessmen but primarily in the eyes of investors and consumers, and said ethics are often the basis of the success or failure of such organizations. Within this context, religion is studied as a social factor which influences and is influenced by other social-cultural phenomena. The main question upon which this research is based is whether or not religious values bear any influence on business ethical conduct, within the research universe of awards given under the National Quality Award scheme PNQ. The following topics are addressed during the quest to ascertain answers to this issue: the symbolic aspects of award ceremonies, the cultural values which permeate religious and business worlds, and an analysis of business ethical conduct, using the implementation of the PNQ Culture of Excellence as a reference, specifically its excellence criteria which take into account the requirements of the market, including: social and environmental responsibility and ethics.(AU) |
