Resumo: The present thesis aims to demonstrate the strategies of rereading the memory of Jesus as Revelator, from the perspective of the author of the Fourth Gospel to combat the enemies of the community, assure their faith, strengthen the persecuted and doubtful and form a solidified Christology in a soteriological thought about the person of Jesus as Messiah and as Revelator throughout the Gospel and using John 4 as a base text. To this end, we intend to analyze the sociopolitical and religious plurality of Palestine in the 1st Century, demonstrating how the environment influenced the choice of the author. of the Fourth Gospel by writing a text in order to reread the life of Jesus in defense of the faith of his community. We will also study the conflicting voices within the text and the discordant voices surrounding the pericope, seeking to understand them from the text of the Fourth Gospel, as this is the most palpable element we have for the study of the conflicts and motives that generated this gospel. To better expose and understand the defense argument of aur that represents the joanine community, a study on the use of verbs will be developed.
