Resumo: This work is concerning sharing and compatibility analyses of International Mobile Telecommunications 2020 (IMT 2020) and High Altitude Platform Stations as IMT Base Station (HIBS) in the context of their coexistence with other space/terrestrial communications and radar systems. Different radiofrequency (RF) features over diverse frequency ranges under real conditions are considered aiming to support decisions of the World Radiocommunications Conference 2023 (WRC-23) Agenda Items 1.2 and 1.4. The Thesis main contributions are summarized as follows: a coexistence analysis among HIBS and Fixed Services at adjacent channels; a sharing study between the future IMT-2020 deployment and Earth Exploration Satellite Service - Active (EESS-Active) in the 10 GHz band; a proposal of jointly using sidelobe suppression technique with the Taylor one parameter and the Recommendation ITU-R M.2101 model for mitigating interference in Advanced Antenna System (AAS) in Earth/space communications; an analysis of a new clutter model to replace the current model from the Recommendation ITU-R P.2108; coexistence studies based on minimum coupling loss and statistical analysis between IMT and Aircraft Earth Station (AES) operating in L-Band. Finally, this manuscript presents important international contributions from the Federative Republic of Brazil to the International Telecommunication Union Working Party 5D (IMT Systems), which were based on the Thesis results.
