This work proposes a study and experimental analysis of the efficiency of the mapping Ethernet, that is a technology used at LAN (Local Area Network), over the New Generation SDH network that is used in the backbone in Brazil. During the work, it was possible to have many experiences using different forms of mapping, and we studied about the performance of the technologies that are part of the New Generation SDH network.
