Resumo: This dissertation examines the process of knowledge acquisition and development of innovations from the interaction networks established by companies from a technological incubator. It consists, thus, on a case study conducted in the Technological Business Incubator of the Celso Suckow da Fonseca Federal Center for Technological Education (IETEC-CEFET/RJ). It deals with innovation as a reticular process, based on information exchange and knowledge generation. It addresses the interaction networks as channels where technological, scientific, managerial and marketing information flows and, finally, it associates them to the innovation networks. It introduces concepts of social capital and correlates them with the establishment of social networks and the flow of information into them. It also presents the concept of information and knowledge from an organizational view, highlighting the incentives to the interactive practices developed aiming to promote the collective learning. It concludes that the interaction networks established in IETEC-CEFET/RJ contribute to the technological, organizational and market innovation. In this sense, networks can be considered an important factor for companies and to the strengthening of their business, since innovation is information and knowledge converted into products, processes or services
