This study is dedicated to the understanding of cultural factors and trust that hinder the alignment procedures in the area of Information Technology and Telecommunications of a half public company. It aims to understand the way the culture of this organization impacts the results achieved by the ongoing business process management. Through the theoretical framework of the study areas of organizational culture, national culture and trust in organizations, this study sought to align this knowledge making use of a bias still little explored in the academic environment. Here we use the concept of culture as a means and not an end in itself associated with the culture of the classification in dimensions, the traits of Brazilian culture and studies of 'trust' in an orderly mix of concepts capable of responding to the question of research. This research is the result of an immersion effort the organization's routines and description of their cultural elements through observation and interviews in the study environment. Finally, this work intends to be a contribution to improve processes to achieve better results in IT business. |
