Cargo transportation is an important sector for the Brazilian economy and presents challenges for companies operating in the country, both for shippers and for companies that carry cargo transportation, due to the risks involved in the operation. Therefore, the transportation industry performs risk management activities that seek to minimize events that cause disruptions or delays in their processes, as well as reduce the levels of business impact. However, practices that mitigate risk in certain operations can sometimes not be replicated to other companies or links in the same supply chain.In his studies, this study presents a maturity model in risk management in cargo transportation that can measure the level of maturity of organizations and their affiliates in order to establish comparability and the possibility of identifying and treating risk factors be treated to develop maturity attributes as capabilities that enable the process of continuous improvement of risk management processes and practices and thus provide better levels of competitiveness for companies operating in the sector.Keywords:Risk; Risk management; Maturity and cargo transportation. |
