Resumo: |
The increasing use of Information Technology (IT) inside of the organizations has led up to great investments in this area. These investments are different from company to company and from sector to sector of the Economy. The companies use IT in different ways. Some of them use it intensely, while others use it modestly or even don't invest in it. This scenery is also found when different sectors of the Economy are compared. Several papers and researches have made wide analyses of the way organizations use Information Technology. Nowadays it is clear that the decisions about the use of IT are not based in technical aspects only. Based on these researches and the observations about the different forms of investments in Information Technology, the objective of this present research is to elaborate a framework to explain the factors that affect how companies use IT. However, to turn this objective feasible, it was necessary to delimitate the economy sector to be studied, and the fashion retail was chosen. Although the framework refers only to one Economy sector, it identifies factors in several aspects and dimensions, making a wide analysis of the question. |
