Resumo: |
The Goiás Mais Empreendedor program is an initiative of the Government of the State of Goiás that aims to democratize the opportunities of entrepreneurship. This thesis offers an analysis of the program, by means of the review of the relevant literature and by the comparison with successful programs in Brazil and elsewhere. It also aims to subsidize the public manager of Goiás with a practical toolkit that may be helpful in the accomplishment of her tasks. The logical path of this dissertation relies on the articulation between pro-entrepreneurship policies and a less specific range of policies, whose goals are related to sustained local economic development. The main results presented are the importance of more general economic development indicators and possibilities of improving the governance of the program. |
