This work has as an objective, first the analysis of the treatment that the big presse gave to the news in relation to air pollution through dioxide sulphur (S02) in the city of Rio de Janeiro in the years 1982-83. Following newspapers had been consulted, Jornal do Brasil, O Globo, Ultima Hora, Tribuna da Imprensa e O Dia. The first chapter shows the administrative situation as well the legislative and the history of the city of Rio de Janeiro. Further that we judge important the presentation of some existents concepts about the environment. We suplly too a picture of the environment situation in our city. The third chapter discusses then what becomes to be the environment education from some points of view. We search too, to situate the newspapers as non-formal educaters and we questioned the accomplish, through the newspapers from their main function: to informe the population about the facts that it surrounds. |
