This dissertation aims to investigate the role of graphic art in the editorial construction of the alternative press of the 1960s. Based on the case of Pif Paf magazine we intend to observe the influence of humor in the critical production represented in text and image during the first months of the period of repression caused by the installation of the March 1964 military coup. From concepts drawn from the field of narrative design, analyzes are carried out to associate art, criticism, design, and information. In this sense, cartoons, cartoons, illustrations, cartoons and humor drawings represent fundamental elements to be evaluated. In the same way, routines of professionals of the press, as well as techniques of work, editorial line and narrative proposals will also be contemplated. |
