This dissertation has the objective the identification of advantages and disadvantages of pay-for-skills system implementation, allocated for the employees, who work at Alumar production department. The involved actors in the research were the smelter operators, where the pay-for-skills system is implemented. The methodology used was description and explanation, describing the characteristics of the system base on the description, studying the advantages and disadvantages of pay-for-skills system. Results have shown advantages for a structured implementation of payfor-skills system. Among others: The employees feel that they are responsible for their carrier development, the company can count on with more prepared employees and the employees would be more prepared for the company and market. There is a disadvantage the can be showed, system limitation and rules can make the employees feel that their carrier development is slower than the old system, considering that they are more prepared. |
