The main objective of the study was to verify the impacts of the implementation of the Information System designed upon the decision-taking process at SERPRO strategic leveI. The interviews carried out with the Board of Directors, as well as the results of the interviews with Superintendents and Coordinators of the above mentioned company were used to support the study. Official documents of the Organisation were also analysed and the results of the questionnaires and interviews with employees of the tactical levels, as well as with former senior administrators, have also been used. The results show that the main impacts ofthe implementation ofthe Information System were mainly as follows: the clear information about the decision-taking process, the possibility not only of making these strategic decisions more dynamic but also of allowing more confidence on the part of High Administration decision-takers and a greater facility for employees in general to use the several information systems already implemented. |
