The purpose of this research was to make explicit the feeling of love living experience and lack of love in a group of persons through a phenomenological existencial approach. It was characterized by a field exploratory research which considered the real histories reported by 69 people, women and men, University Students of Physical Education, Engineering and Philosophy who were most of than, were 22 and 23 years old. Based on itens of Critical Incident technique, the interviews intended to grasp the way people express and receive the feeling of love and lack of love in relation to the mate of the couple. Thefeeling of love was expressed by attitudes such as 'Declare' 'Caress' 'To Present', 'Trust', 'Give up' 'Show interest' through 'Help in difficult times' 'Give support/ Concern','WeIcome', 'Look for' the other' and 'Wish to stay together'. The feeling of lack of love was expressed as 'Aggress' 'Finish the relationship', 'Be egoist', 'Show no interest' through 'Indifference, showing oneself cool and distant', 'No concern/rude' 'Have interests in spare time other than being with that person', 'Feel love for other person' and 'show doubts'. The analysis performed to the conclusion that men and women have no significante differences in the number narrations in each category. Neverthless, men presented a larger proportion of narrations in the categories: 'Caress' 'To Presente' and women in the categories 'Trust' and 'Give up'. We surveyed also the personnal definitions of love and lack of love and self-perceptive indication of being in love. There was some correspondence with the categories of living experience. No significative difference was found in terms of proportion and content between the people in the several courses. |
