Resumo: | As a result of the new forms of access to information from technological developments communication companies face a complex and highly competitive scenario. This is where organizations seek management models that maximize the competitive advantage, which to sustain themselves need to be institutionalized and integrated organization. In this context, this study aimed to identify the factors that influenced the appropriation/institutionalization of the management model for competency in an organization. Adopted as a theoretical framework for the analysis of the theory of organizational change process represented by the framework of Buchanan et al. (2005), institutional theory approached by Tolbert and Zucker (2006) and management competence. The research design was interpretativist of qualitative approach, transversal analysis, performing the case study of communication Group Alpha, aiming to check the factors that led to the institutionalization of the management model for competence. For that, it was used as a method to document analysis along with the content analysis of interviews through semi-structured scripts with the participants of the Organization of human resources, management and operational. The framework of Buchanan et al. (2005), made it possible to understand the way that the model of management by competence institutionalized itself in the Organization, identifying and analyzing the influence of factors: external context; political; substance, organizational; cultural, financial, procedural, laic, individual, management, leadership. Identified the presence of each of these factors in the Organization analyzed, sustaining the management competency model and making it effective. It was found that each factor influenced according to its characteristics the institutionalization of the management model for competence. From the institutionalization/ownership model identified that it is habitualization, level walking to objectification, as discussed by Tolbert and Zucker (2006). |
