Resumo: The existing tools for assessing sustainability, even if harmonize the variables of the complex environment, do not include all dimensions of sustainable development or are built to meet the demand of a particular management sector. In the context of watershed management, these instrumlats support decision-making without considering integration with fundamental issues such as agricultural food production. The sectorization of these tools goes contrary to sustainable development. Therefore, the present work aims to develop a conceptual model and indicators for sustainability analysis, as a subsidy to the integrated management of water resources and agricultural food production. The methodology used consists of three stages: definition of an integrating theoretical framework from the perspective of the water food- environment. nexus, using the literature review: construction of a hierarchical structure, from the adaptation of the integration factors in the interfaces of these axes to a model of indicators existing in the literature and in the validation of the proposed model in order to delimit its potential use in different territorial areas, in this case, using empirical references from a Brazilian and a French hydrographic basin. The results obtained showed that systemic management within the scope of integrated water resources management and sustainable intensification practices in the scale of agricultural properties, are the main integrating factors. However, the integration of these elements is a challenge, considering the fact that the information is obtained at different management scales. The result was a conceptual model for sustainability analysis, integrating the scales of water management and agricultural production, as it is composed of analytical categories and indicators referenced from the perspective of the water-food-environment nexus,
