Contribuição ao estudo da correlação entre algumas medidas da coroa e a espessura do esmalte nas faces proximais de segundos pré-molares inferiores humanos

The aim of this work is to evaluate some dental aspects, essential to help the orthodontic treatment and also help to obtain a favorable functional and aesthetic result as well as the harmony between the dental arches. Orthodontics has been served from dental wears in order to correct dental discrepancies and the elimination of light and moderate crowdings. There is, then the importance of knowing the thickness of dental enamels, mainly on mesial and distal surfaces. We intend, with this work, to accurately evaluate the thickness of enamel on proximal surfaces of second inferior human pre-molars after obtaining laminas to the contact point level and, after, submitted to accurate measurements and possible correlations between the crown and thickness of enamel on proximal surfaces (mesial and distal) measurements of both. We concluded that the average medial-distal diameter on the contact point region, for the lower right second premolar is 7.79mm and left is 7.70mm. The average value for the enamel to the contact point level to lower right second premolars on mesial surface is 1.40mm, and on the distal surface is 1.46mm; for the lower left second premolars on mesial surface is 1.35mm and on distal surface is 1.44mm.
