Resumo: | Adele became recognized worldwide after launching her songs on the Internet; then she signed a contract with XL Recordings and started a process of writing a new set of songs. Then, 21 was born: a record of eleven songs all about one person: her exboyfriend. Starting on the organization of the songs in this record, our goal in the research is to analyze the transformations of the narrative subject and the passional subject. The organization that the record presents propound a narrative course where becomes possible to identify the manipulations, the acquisition of competence, the performance and the sanction, contained on the narrative level, what makes possible also to observe the passional course of the soul subject, highlighting the passions of the cholera, the jealous, the nostalgia and the anguish, specifically. Therefore, based on the French semiotics by Algirdas Julien Greimas, we were able to identify the completeness of the narrativity propound by the record through the analysis of four selected lyrics: Rolling in the Deep, Rumour has It, One and Only, e Someone like You; proving that relating the elements of the semiotics of music, the semiotics of passion and the semiotics of narrativity, 21 could be analyzed through four songs. Key words: Adele; passion; semiotics; narrativity. |
