Resumo: Introduction: Presently, breast reconstruction after mastectomy uses silicone implants in over 75 % of cases. Considering only the implants approved by ANVISA, are available in the Brazilian market 2615 different types of implants. Objectives: To develop and evaluate the performance of an application for mobile devices that perform classification of anatomical breast implant models and round ones approved by ANVISA, choosing those best framed in the measurements of breast expected from the user. Methods: All anatomical and round models approved for sale in Brazil by ANVISA were extracted from their manufacturers catalogs and formatted to make up the database. The parameters used were: model, manufacturer's code, height, width, projection, shape and filling. So it developed an application for mobile devices, and provide the base width, height and projection of the expected breast by the surgeon, calculated the weighted difference measurements to constant impideal prosthesis in the database, with an ordered list better suited to less suitable for the reported parameters. Results: The software was efficient in the choice of prosthesis. It was obtained the Pearson correlation coefficient between the weighted measure of the ideal implant calculated by the software and the weighted measure recommended by the surgeon implant of 0.977 and p = 0.01 for the sample. Conclusion: As a result of this correlation, it was not only possible use of this app as a tool in the selection of breast implants, as its extension to other types prostheses and other markets beyond brasilian.
