Resumo: The site presents the American http://charactercounts.org/sixpillars.html Character Counts program designed by Michael Josephson in order to work ethics and character in his subjectivity in order to build a better world. It was developed by the Josephson Institute of Ethics which proposes the construction of being unethical by six pillars: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship. The present work aims to analyze the discursive practices and representations in the Character Counts site that guide the formation of the ethical subject in contemporary and what its effects of meaning. The staff working on the theory of transdisciplinary discourse analysis, especially the ideas of Foucault's discursive practices, technologies of self and caring. The corpus is made up of the site mentioned that seems to bring the need to enhance the ethics and morals of the individual to reflect on society, based on six pillars of character. We tried to, at first, to reflect on the discursive construction of moral and ethical values in the historical process of antiquity, in the thoughts of Sócrates, Platão and Aristóteles, Moral Philosophy and Moral Theology and also Liquid Modernity. We studied the concepts of discursive practices, technologies and other power-knowledge-discourse ethics of self-care Foucault to be applied in the analysis of the site. He performed the site, as well as current problems were exemplified generated by inappropriate human behavior, analyzing, ultimately, the meaning effects of discursive practices on contemporary ethical be-in site. The methodology presented was based on qualitative research and bibliography, electing Discourse Analysis as a theoretical basis for the work, especially the thought of Michel Foucault, also combining the knowledge of philosophy, theology, cultural studies and sociology. From the assumption of discourse analysis that the effect is produced when the resumption of others have said, which was evident as a result of this work was to give the definition of each pillar, said to date back as philosophy, religion, natural law that are somewhat recovered and (re) signified to the present moment than it is to be ethical in contemporary society, it would be an individual responsible for his actions, respecting the rights of others and of their own to be a active citizen in society.
