Resumo: | Domestic violence is a child health problem that has been approached by many researchers. This problem usually presents to various professionals and among health nurses. The nurse is usually the professional who assists patients when they arrive at basic health units, which makes their assessment, care, directs you to other professionals and even for other services. This study investigated the experiences of nurses from primary health care regarding their child victims of domestic violence. The study is qualitative in nature. Interviews were conducted semi-structured interviews with nine nurses who work in the Basic Health of Uberl‚ndia-MG. After collecting the data, they were analyzed using content analysis and compared with the literature. The results found two clusters of meaning: What I know and Care. What we perceive in these units of meaning is that nurses participate in a shy way in the care of cases of domestic violence for children, either through lack of preparation on the issue, is the difficulty to recognize a case of violence or personal problems, or yet to understand that health care should occur in conjunction with a multidisciplinary team. Moreover, the lack of a protocol of care for child victims of domestic violence also limits the detection of the problem, assistance and information flow. |
