Resumo: Since the beginning of the Management Reform of the State, the Management Authority Public started to realize, on its administration, with the possibility of partnerships between the public sector and the private sector. These partners came up with the concept brought from private management, through which the State transfers to its partners, the management of a public services, so that it executes it in order to improve its quality, in an efficient way for the population. The objective of this study is to analyze the feasibility of the partnership that uses the management contract as a formal instrument, through the study of a real case, which is the Management Contract agreed in the area of health in the Paraiba`s State. This study is justified by the repercussion that such hiring generates for the whole society, given the social and economic relevance that this form of partnership reflects for the population as a whole. Through a deductive approach, a bibliographical and documentary research was carried out, with qualitative and quantitative methodology, in which information was collected regarding the management contract agreed between the Brazilian Red Cross and the Government of the Paraíba`s State through Of its State Department of Health, for the management of the State‘s “Emergência e Trauma Senador Humberto Lucena” hospital. It was possible to describe the scenario regarding the case study, as well as the data collection to carry out a quantitative analysis of the changes occurred in terms of health care and procedures in the hospital unit. Considering the data collected, it was possible to outline the trajectory and the changes that the agreement with the social organization made in the public health scenario in the Paraíba`s State, through which the viability of this form of partnership could be verified.
