Resultados organizacionais e escolhas estratégicas em micro e pequenas empresas do setor educacional sobreviventes ao estágio inicial do ciclo de vida

Resumo: This present research has as the main proposal the evaluation of the strategic choices as consequence of the organizational results obtained in the initial life cycle period regarding the micro and small companies, inside the serviceeducational sector from Brazilian economy. There are a few researches that have judged the relationship between the performance and strategy in micro and small companies survivors from the initial life cycles period. In the major part, the researches of micro and small companies are related to the factors of their mortality – and not of survival – of those kinds of companies. Besides this, the strategic performance has been utilized almost always as a dependent variable from researches for the strategy studies. On this way, in this study was proposed the utilization of the performance as independent variable of situations of organizational survival. This research was characterized as a qualitative research and explanatory-exploratory character. The data were collected through structured interviews with owners of micro and small companies from serviceeducational sector that integrate the schools net from Curitiba educational group. Regarding the definition of the organizational areas results that were investigated, it was utilized the multidimensional analysis model in order to obtain a performance concept. The results of the research showed that: the marketing and financial results were more evident in the initial life cycle period of the companies and that the social results and operational technician could be showed after this mentioned period. Besides this, the main strategies chosen by the micro and small companies researched, as the consequence to the first results, are connected to: the financial resources loan, the shareholders reformulation, physical structure improvements, the capacitation of employees incentive and the quality investment in order to improve the customer organization and brand image. In a general analysis, considering the full life period of the organizations researched, the strategic choices identified are related to the functional, competitive, and corporate levels, among following: Cooperation, Differentiation (cost and quality), Diversification, Fusion and Marketing.
