Resumo: Introduction: The subjectivity of the evaluation of results in oncoplastic surgeries is one of the greatest problems for both the professional and the patient in the treatment of breast cancer. Breast aesthetics is a factor that directly impacts on a woman's life quality, affecting her self-esteem and well-being. Objectives: To develop an application-based computational system for the evaluation of breast symmetry, showing as a result the percentage of equivalence between the breasts. Methods: An application for mobile devices was developed, which, when receiving the frontal image of a patient, performs the identification of the breasts and calculates the percentage of symmetry between them, based on the position of the nipples and the distance to the end of the Breast. Results: Due to the uniqueness of the project, a symmetrical comparison was performed in pre and postoperative patients, presenting a mean of 70.22% and 65.94%, respectively. Conclusion: Computational tools allow the physician to have a more direct and objective approach in order to obtain a better standardization in the evaluation of the aesthetic result obtained and the symmetry should be considered a macro factor, which determines the alignment of the size, shape and position of the nipples in comparisons between the breasts of a patient.
