Resumo: Digital technological transformations have led to changes in the way the public interact with the world around them. The easy availability of mobile devices has allowed individuals who never disconnect and, therefore, take advantage of the characteristics of the various screens offered. This study aims to identify the relationship between technological developments and the use made of them, specifically focusing on the communication processes organized by multiple screens, increasingly common phenomenon in the contemporary world. In that way, our goal here is to map the evolution of content distribution on screens, watching the technological development of the luminous screen since its inception to deployment in the various screens available. This is justified by the fact that we share the era of the total screen, a cultural mutation that is ongoing, increasingly affecting not only communication, as human existence itself. The screens have gained increasing importance in our daily activities, and they continue developing towards convergence, interconnection and intercommunication. They mediate our relationships with the world and interfere in our way of telling stories. Thus, a transmedia dynamic could also be studied, once screens can be considered part of various content distribution platforms and in accordance with its peculiarities tell part of a story. We conclude that the screens available in all dimensions affect our daily lives and take us to find a sense to the world we live in.
