The aim of this study is to evaluate tooth bleaching, after aging simulation, on teeth submitted to bonding and debonding of orthodontic brackets using different protocols. Method: for this study 90 human premolars were selected, randomly divided into 6 groups: control, bleaching and other 4 groups submitted to bleaching after brackets bonding through conventional acid conditioning or selfetching adhesive system and finishing method after brackets debonding by tungsten or zirconia burs. Thermocycling, stain and dental bleaching processes were performed, and the determination of sample color was performed by the CIE L*a*b* system in three moments: T1 - after brackets debonding; T2 - after staining cycling; T3 - after bleaching. For the evaluation of the results between the components L *, a * and b * two way analysis of variance (p<0,05) and Tukey’s multiple comparisons test (p<0,05) when difference was verified. For the analysis of the color variation (ΔE) the Shapiro Wilk test (p<0,05) was used for verification of homogeneity. When homogeneity present was used the analysis of variance to one criterion and the Kruskal-Wallis test when absent. The Tukey test (p <0.05) was performed for multiple comparisons. Results: A statistically significant difference was observed between self-etching adhesive system - tungsten bur and control and bleaching groups between moments T1 and T2. There was no difference between the groups submitted to bleaching between moments T2 e T3, nor between the values of L* in the bleaching group between moments T1 and T3. Conclusion: The group not submitted to bonding bracket was the only one that present results of the values of the component L * (light / dark), after dental bleaching, statistically similar to the initial values measured before the aging processes. |
