Resumo: |
This study aimed to analyze the relationship between institutional pressures and Corporate Social Responsibility in the Brazilian fashion industry. This study is a replication of the research by Pedersen and Gwozdz (2014), conducted in the fashion industry of the Nordic countries. The research is quantitative, exploratory and descriptive, and was carried out through questionnaires sent to fashion companies by email, facebook and in industry events. A total of 112 valid questionnaires were obtained, 59 of which were collected in person and 53 in a virtual way. Data analysis used the regression technique, with the results of verification of statistical significance in all relations of variables, identifying an inverse relationship between them, diverging from the results observed in the study conducted in the Nordic countries. The study contributes to reinforce the influence of institutional pressures on CSR, as well as the differences in CSR as a function of the institutional environment, as well as contributing to the study of CSR in emerging countries. |
