Resumo: |
The concern with the pedagogical training of teachers working in Higher Education has become, in the last decades, a recurring theme of research. In order to understand the trajectory of continued pedagogical training at UNISUL, this study was initiated. Therefore, the aim of this thesis was defined as: to promote a reflection about teacher training for Higher Education, and in this context, the Continued Pedagogical Training Program of UNISUL’s teachers, running on the period between 2004 and 2009. The way chosen in this study was the historical method and, consequently, the exploratory and descriptive bibliographic research. For reasons relating to design and research perspective, that is, the way of research, data collection, analysis and presentation of results, this study was distributed in four main themes. The first theme represents an approach to the trajectory of the university as an institution for Higher Education throughout the historical process. The emphasis, on the second theme, is the function performed by the university through research, education and extension. The third theme addresses issues concerning the role of the teacher who works in Higher Education face the complications of teaching in this educational level. On the fourth theme the presentation and analysis of the trajectory of the Continued Pedagogical Training of UNISUL’s Teachers Program (2004-2009) is approached, with all its achievements and shortcomings, focusing on the need for its implementation, the actions that guided it, the acceptance or resistance from teachers of that institution of higher education, the assessment, by teachers, on the program's contribution to their educational performance, as well as the reasons for UNISUL to resize it. |
