Resumo: |
This research sought to analyze the Dog Therapy project, developed by a civil society organization, as practices of social innovation based on ethical precepts. This is a qualitative case study, with a exploratory and descriptive approach. It was constituted from a literature review, documentary research, participatory observation and interviews with volunteers and managers of an institution that seeks to promote well-being to the animals rescued by the government by complaints of ill-treatment, injuries by car accidents and other serious situations. It was verified that the actions of this organization result in social innovation, primarily, through the change of mentality related to the instrumental use of nonhuman animals, contributing in the long term to make a more ethical and harmonious society that coexists like other life forms in a more equitable way. |
