Riassunto: | The objective of this research was to define responsibilities of Community Health Agents (CHAs) in the area of oral health through Delphi Methodology. This methodology used a logical theoretical model with initial questionnaire, which was sent to 30 participants. 10 managers working in the coordination of national oral health, state or municipal, 10 researchers or academics with post graduate degree in public health dentistry and 10 professional dentists working in the primary health care network in ESB (oral health team). The theoretical references were ministerial publications in the area of CHA and ESB. The logical theoretical model, followed by questionnaire was inserted in FORMSUS platform, which sent an access link with password for each participant by e-mail and participants remained anonymous. The participants answered the questionnaire evaluating their agreement with each question, on a scale from 0 to 10. There were thirty-four closed questions where consensus was measured when they reached an average of ≥ 7 and SD <3. Still, there were six open questions that allowed inclusion of comments and justifications. The analysis of these open questions by the team coordinating the research created new questions to be included in the second round of the questionnaire. A last round still tried to define a classification of the importance of each criterion by assigning the same weight to them as the median. The result was a final matrix with 36 criteria organized in six work dimensions. This study provides an objective image of the work of the Community Health Agent. The same demonstrates ACS 'ability to carry out promotion activities, surveillance, prevention and oral health education. This matrix can be used in order to define indicators CHA worker process in oral healthO objetivo desta pesquisa foi definir atribuições dos Agentes Comunitários de Saúde (ACS) na área de saúde bucal através de Metodologia Delphi. A mesma, utilizou um modelo teórico lógico com questionário inicial, o qual foi enviado a 30 participantes: 10 gestores que atuavam na coordenação de saúde bucal nacional, estadual ou municipal, 10 pesquisadores ou professores universitários com pós graduação em saúde bucal coletiva e 10 profissionais cirurgiões dentistas que atuavam na rede de atenção básica em Equipe de Saúde Bucal (ESB). As referências teóricas para este estudo, foram publicações ministeriais do processo de trabalho de ACS e ESB. O modelo teórico lógico, seguido de questionário foi inserido na plataforma FORMSUS, o qual enviou um link de acesso com senha para cada participante através de e-mail. Os participantes se mantiveram anônimos, respondendo ao questionário avaliando a concordância com cada questão, numa escala de 0 a 10. O mesmo foi composto por trinta e quatro questões fechadas, onde o consenso foi medido quando atingiram média ≥ 7 e dp < 3 em cada questão. Os dados foram exportados para Excel onde foi analisado a média e desvio padrão. Ainda, houve 6 questões abertas que permitiram inclusão de comentários e justificativas. A análise destas questões abertas por parte da equipe coordenadora da pesquisa originou novas questões para inclusão em segunda rodada do questionário. Uma última rodada ainda buscou definir uma classificação da importância de cada critério atribuindo peso as mesmas conforme a mediana. O resultado foi uma matriz final com 36 critérios organizados em 6 dimensões de trabalho. Este estudo fornece uma imagem objetivo do processo de trabalho do ACS em saúde bucal. O mesmo demonstra a capacidade do ACS de realizar atividades de promoção, vigilância, prevenção e educação em saúde bucal.
