Ամփոփում: | Cannabis, popularly known as marijuana, is a plant originated in Asia and has been used for centuries by humanity for multiple purposes, such as food, religious rituals, and medicinal practices. This species is endowed with significant therapeutic potential, despite its known psychotropic properties. In diseases and conditions in which other therapeutic options have been depleted, studies have emerged to prove the efficacy and safety of cannabidiol. The general objective of this work was to develop an integrative review of the scientific literature on the pharmacological use of cannabidiol. Scientific articles were selected in the PUBMED database, using “cannabidiol” as keyword and with a period of 1 year, we only selected randomized and controlled clinical trials. 16 articles were used. The studies carried out in the last year focusing on treating anxiety have not shown strong evidence of efficacy at this moment. Studies available for CBD still lack more evidence to support the efficacy and safety of the proposed treatments. Currently, the most promising results are from using CBD to manage epilepsy and drug addiction. |
