Summary: | In the present work, the combined heat transfer between conduction and convection was studied. natural for a trapezoidal fin heatsink, which is attached to a single-channel radio source, however, the study referred to comes from the practical need to generate a solution to defects arising from insufficient heat dissipation in such a device, in this way, six different models of rectangular fin heatsinks and two models of piniform fins of square section, in order to predict which of the sinks generate the best thermal performance in relation to the current operation. However, to carry out such The analysis divided the study into two scopes, namely: numerical and experimental. Regarding the numerical analysis was used for the simulations in both heatsinks the software SimScale, free to use and via the web, using the Finite Volume Method (MFV) for discretization of the mass, motion and energy conservation equations. In this way, with the development of 3D representations of the physical domain of the problem, the pre-processing, processing and post-processing steps. From the results numerical, it is proven that the spacing and height of the fins are the parameters that most influence the thermal exchange, moreover, it is observed that among the studied heatsinks, the that promote a more effective cooling are the sinks 3 and 4 with rectangular fins and the heatsink 7 with square section piniform fins. Subsequently, the procedure applies experimental, along the trapezoidal fin heatsink, with the use of apparatuses and techniques that allow heat generation and temperature measurement in modeling experimental, in this sense, the differences obtained in relation to the results are verified. numerical-experimental reached in such a heatsink, with this, there is an agreement between these results, promulgating the practical validation of the simulations performed. |
