Gaia: | Psychological violence against women is a form of abuse that can cause profound damage on the mental health and well-being of the victim. The present study aims to investigate the essential aspects of this type of violence, from its essence to its consequences. Firstly, ways of domestic violence, the risk factors linked to the practice of this type of violence are subsequently discussed. Furthermore, the consequences of psychological violence on women's health are addressed, and the impacts that exist even after the end of the abusive relationship. Furthermore, highlighting the importance of awareness, prevention and early intervention to combat psychological violence against women. In short, this study emphasizes the urgency of combating psychological violence against women as a health issue public, which requires attention at both individual and social levels. |
