Summary: | As a consequence of urbanization the society's lifestyle was transformed and in this way it was seen that the relationship between people and domestic animals also has changed. Nowadays such living beings are treated as family members assuming the permanent position as the youngest or even only child. Data showing the population growth of animals in the world also reveal that the number of dogs has already exceeded the number of children under 14 years. It strengthens the pet market by solidifying its structure and consolidating its need among the fastest growing business in the world. Combining such needs, an IoT device was then created to assist ing humans in the feeding, care and treatment of domestic animals through automatic feed release, animal monitoring and management of aspects of pet life such as veterinarian days, vaccines and going to the petshop. To make it possible the device has a Raspberry Pi microprocessor connected to peripheral devices such as motors, camera and microphone, as well as connecting to the internet (wirelessly) to communicate with a user controlled application remotely. The application is optimally built using the React Native library of the JavaScript web language that allows the c reation of native interface components for Android and iOS. |
