Summary: | The Professional Technical Internship (ETP) is a time to put into practice all the knowledge acquired during the Veterinary Medicine degree, thus improving in the desired area for future professional activity. The ETP took place from July 17, 2023 to October 20, 2023, totaling 480 hours, under the academic guidance of Prof. Dr Maria Isabel Botelho Vieira. Held in the area of Reproduction Biotechnology, at the Bovine Semen Freezing and Processing Center (CCPS) Renascer Biotecnologia, where it was possible to monitor the routine within the laboratory, assisting the MVs in the evaluation, processing and freezing of bovine semen. In addition, it was possible to experience the entire process from admission, andrological, health examinations of new bulls entered and even semen collection. This report aims to describe the internship location, the general activities developed and carried out during this period, and at the end of this report the project that takes as its title the excess of major defect correlated with the pregnancy rate will be reported. Finally, the ETP was essential for professional and personal maturity, due to the interactions with different professionals specialized in the desired area. |
