Gaia: | The importance of Black Social Clubs is extremely significant and they have played a relevant role for a long time in the resistance of Afro culture in Brazil, in addition, they have meant and changed the lives of many people. The entry of the black movement is noticeable, as an opportunity to rise socially and fight for their rights. This work aims to contribute to current historiographical research, which seeks to study black clubs and their trajectory as a form of resistance. Our objective is to bring to light the trajectory and importance of Sociedade Recreativa Cultural Beneficente Flor da Serra and its impact on society in Carazinhense. Well, little is remembered about the existence of this club that was of great value to the city. The relevance of the study lies in the understanding that these clubs helped black communities to assert themselves in their cities, in addition to permeating their significance for research into Brazilian cultural and social history. Furthermore, with the analysis intended in this research, through the historical records of the Sociedade Recreativa Flor da Serra. We will use the focus of the press, iconographic sources and also the club's minutes and statutes, between the years 1932-2019. |
