要約: This master dissertation is focused on feeding and gender relations at Congadas parties in Goiânia. Congada is a socialcultural practice which began at slavery times. The highest part of the party is the Congo King’s coronation, a recalling of the African royalty. The study consided three districts: Santa Helena, Mutirão Village and João Vaz Village, viewed under the prisme of gender and food. From the cuisine perspective, the research did an etnography with women that, in devotin of Nossa Senhora do Rosário, dedicate to the art of cooking. The aim was realizing whether cooking was feminine by naturalization, and the feeding status as an instrument of sociability. A closer view on this aspects made us know that: cuisine is a very powerful women tool. There is power struggle and hierarchy at the cuisines of this parties. The menu comparison between parties proved the tradition of some mineira and goiana food at the Afro-Brazilian party. There is a system of gifts including food donations in exchange of patron saint’s blessings and also juxtaposition of catholic and African religions.
