Achoimre: With the changes promoted in the educational field by scientific and technological development fostered by contemporary sociopolitical structures, new and complex relationships are established between subjects and objects in the teaching and learning process. In Science Education, different digital artifacts are appropriated by teachers as a resource in the pedagogical mediation of concepts constructed by the scientific community. In order to deepen and better characterize the articulation between different actors in the classroom, we discuss in this research how digital mediation in the teaching and learning process of Modern and Contemporary Physics concepts for 9th-grade students establishes the production of hybrid mechanisms of cognition between humans and non-humans, in light of Bruno Latour's generalized symmetry. To do so, we have chosen the phenomenon of nuclear fusion as the content of knowledge, which is foreseen as a knowledge object in the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC) for Natural Sciences. In view of this, we adopt the articulation of three theoretical frameworks: the Theory of Networked Cognitive Mediation (TMC), responsible for discussing mediation mechanisms as processing external to the human brain and its implications in the cognitive structure of students; the Theory of Mental Models by Johnson-Laird, which classifies and categorizes types of mental representations; and the conception of non-modernity by Latour, which provides a systemic, reticular, and non-dichotomized view of reality construction. Initial results were obtained after analyzing the questionnaires and the verbal and gestural languages of the students. Subsequently, we interpret the results according to the concepts of hybridization, detours, and translations from Latour's symmetrical anthropology. We found that digital mediation in this context influences the cognitive mechanisms used by students and the sophistication of the mental representations they construct. Finally, we acknowledge that both the teaching and learning process and the construction of mental representations through digital mediation constitute Latourian hybrids, as the actors involved begin to share human and non-human competencies.

Na Educação Científica, diferentes artefatos digitais são apropriados pelos professores como recursos na mediação pedagógica de conceitos construídos pela comunidade científica. Buscando aprofundar e melhor caracterizar a articulação entre os diferentes atores em sala de aula, discutimos nesta pesquisa como a mediação digital no processo de ensino-aprendizagem dos conceitos de Física Moderna e Contemporânea de estudantes do 9º ano do ensino fundamental estabelece a produção de mecanismos híbridos de cognição entre humanos e não humanos, à luz da simetria generalizada de Bruno Latour. Para tanto, escolhemos como conteúdo de conhecimento o fenômeno da fusão nuclear, previsto como objeto de conhecimento na Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BNCC) de Ciências da Natureza. Diante disso, adotamos a articulação de três referenciais teóricos, a Teoria da Mediação Cognitiva em Rede (TMC), responsável por discutir os mecanismos de mediação como processamento externamente ao cérebro humano e suas implicações na estrutura cognitiva dos estudantes, a Teoria dos Modelos Mentais de Johnson-Laird que classifica e categoriza os tipos de representações mentais e a concepção da não modernidade latouriana que fornece uma visão sistêmica, reticular e não dicotomizada da construção da realidade. Os resultados iniciais foram obtidos após as análises realizadas dos questionários e das linguagens verbal e gestual dos estudantes. Posteriormente, realizamos a interpretação dos resultados de acordo com os conceitos de hibridação, desvios e traduções da antropologia simétrica latouriana. Constatamos que a mediação digital nesse contexto influencia nos mecanismos cognitivos utilizados pelos estudantes e na sofisticação das representações mentais construídas por eles. Por fim, reconhecemos que, tanto o processo de ensino-aprendizagem quanto a construção de representações mentais a partir da mediação digital, constituem-se em híbridos latourianos, pois os atores envolvidos passam a compartilhar competências humanas e não humanas.Sul-1application/pdfapplication/pdfporUniversidade Tecnológica Federal do ParanáPrograma de Pós-Graduação em Tecnologia e SociedadeBrasilUniversidade Tecnológica Federal do ParanáScience teachingCognitive mediationMental representationsDigital mediationBruno Latour's symmetrical anthropologyHybridization human and nonhumanEnsino de ciênciasMediação cognitivaRepresentações mentaisAntropologia simétrica de Bruno LatourHibridação humanoNão-humanoHumanidadesCogitamus na sala de aula: desvios, traduções e híbridos na mediação tecnológica da Física Moderna no Ensino FundamentalCogitamus in the classroom: detours, translations and hybrids in the technological mediation of modern physics in elementary schoolinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/doctoralThesisinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessreponame:Repositório Comum do Brasil - Depositainstname:Instituto Brasileiro de Informação em Ciência e Tecnologia (Ibict)instacron:IBICTTEXTcogitamussalaauladesvios.pdf.txtWritten by FormatFilter org.dspace.app.mediafilter.TikaTextExtractionFilter on 2025-06-06T20:17:36Z (GMT).Extracted texttext/plain103176https://deposita.ibict.br/bitstreams/01745e55-473b-400d-853c-607f30ad6604/download98d3efc3e42ed7f942218b67339e1a2aMD53falseAnonymousREADTHUMBNAILcogitamussalaauladesvios.pdf.jpgWritten by FormatFilter org.dspace.app.mediafilter.PDFBoxThumbnail on 2025-06-06T20:17:36Z (GMT).Generated Thumbnailimage/jpeg2838https://deposita.ibict.br/bitstreams/37fa1edc-0fc2-4741-a92d-70fb4828e6a0/download213e8ac3a9a98e58d88d82835d4dce90MD54falseAnonymousREADLICENSElicense.txtWritten by org.dspace.content.LicenseUtilstext/plain;
