总结: Introduction: Academic success and psychosocial well-being in childhood are influenced by the development of socioemotional skills. In this context, executive functions play a crucial role in emotional and behavioral self-regulation, which are essential for satisfactory social interactions. Psychoanalysis, with its focus on unconscious processes and early interpersonal relationships, provides a theoretical framework for analyzing the intricate relationship between executive functions and social behavior in children. Objective: This study aims to examine the intersection between executive functions and social behavior in school-aged children from a psychoanalytic perspective, seeking to elucidate the contributions of this theoretical approach to understanding the complex dynamics between these constructs. Method: This research consists of an integrative literature review, using electronic databases such as PubMed, PsycINFO, and SciELO. The search included scientific articles published in the last 10 years, with keywords including "executive functions," "social behavior," "children," "psychoanalysis," and "child development." Results: It was revealed that Psychoanalysis posits that the quality of primary object relations, the experience of traumatic events, the use of defense mechanisms, and family dynamics directly influence the development of executive functions and, consequently, the child’s ability to form healthy attachments and engage in prosocial interactions. The internalization of interaction patterns, attachment security, and the presence of responsive parental figures emerged as determining factors for the development of robust executive functions and adaptive social skills. Conclusions: Psychoanalysis provides an explanatory model for the relationship between executive functions and social behavior in children, integrating intrapsychic, interpersonal, and contextual factors. This theoretical perspective offers relevant insights for clinical and educational practice, emphasizing the importance of interventions aimed at promoting mental health, emotional development, and the quality of interpersonal relationships in the school context.
