Zusammenfassung: | The present work analyzes two scenarios: the patient in a hospital, at risk of nosocomial infection and the need for training for health professionals, especially community health workers. The development of the infection process, its mechanisms and some ways to combat it will be analyzed. Community health agents, who are key players in the Family Health Program, represent a link between families and the doctor, nurse and his team at the Basic Health Unit. The two themes are interconnected, considering that, with due training of the agent, he will have the ability to carry out his work with greater quality and professionalism. The patient wins, as he will have a professional studied and prepared to meet his demands, being able to prevent the individual from reaching any Emergency Unit or Hospital, which triggers the process of nosocomial infection. |
