Tóm tắt: Gustavo Barroso (1888-1959) was a faithful representative of the conserved elites - Brazilian reactionaries of the 1930s. Integralist militant, head of militias of the AIB, created in 1932, by Plínio Salgado, well situated socially, politically came to occupy important positions in Brazil, among these, the most known, the direction of the Brazilian Academy of Letters (1897), as was also the first director of the National Museum (1922). At the moment of political uncertainty the future of Brazil, the fascist ideology (of Estado Forte, this was the main Barroso's argument) was received by the middle sectors of Brazilian society, conquering integralism more than half a million members.
