Zusammenfassung: | This is a operational research on the organization, structure and function of the Pharmaceutical Care Cycle. Health managers of 87% of the 62 municipalities of the Brazilian State of Amazonas were interviewed. Questions included all the aspects of pharmaceutical care organization (selection of medicines, programming, acquisition, stocking, distribution, prescription and medicines’ dispensing). There were not Municipal Comission for Pharmacy and Therapeutics, and scarce utilization of epidemiological criteria for medicines selection and programming. Less than a half (43,4%) consider that stocks conditions are good and only 25% has informatics structure for stock control. A few municipalities do not guide for the promotions of rational use of medicines when dispensing them, and most of counseling is addressed to dosage and treatment time. |
