Riassunto: | This thesis places Traditio Sphaerae within the framework of a broader artistic, philosophical and historical chain, which cannot, evidently, be fully emptied, but only outlined in its general lines. The movement that we propose to describe here, far from being concentrated and closed in on itself, is, quite the contrary, linked by multiple links both in the future and in the past. It constitutes just one act, a singular phase of the immense movement that made it possible for the individual to think about himself. The specific feeling of yourself and your specific self- awareness. The present thesis seeks to consider the history of Traditio Sphaerae in a light that does not have the sole purpose of establishing and describing the results, but, moreover, revealing the creative forces through which these results are intimately elaborated. Therefore, this work is based on some theses-ideas that will corroborate the propositions presented here: 1) the foundation of the celestial sphere in texts and images in classical antiquity; 2) survival of Traditio Sphaerae; 3) the figurative paradigm of the sphere. In this way, the aim is to compare cosmological interpretations with the moment of figuration of the celestial spheres, with the moment of rupture between astrology and astronomy, from magical-imagery thinking to rational-mathematical thinking, from art to science, seeking to understand in what terms these Images corroborated the process of development and emancipation of images that dealt with the cosmos |

O movimento que se propõe aqui descrever, longe de estar concentrado e fechado sobre si mesmo, encontra-se, muito pelo contrário, ligado por múltiplos vínculos tanto no futuro quando ao passado. Ela constitui apenas um ato, uma fase singular do imenso movimento que possibilitou o indivíduo o pensamento de si mesmo. O sentimento específico de si mesmo e a sua autoconsciência específica.
