Čoahkkáigeassu: This monograph is a case study of the adequacy of the Lamp post radio A voz do Salobrinho to the principles of community communication. In the observed period (2017-2019), it had musical programming, sermons and two live radio magazines. This type of radio works with speakers on neighborhood posts, in addition to other transmedia actions. The imposing transmission in the streets was analyzed as a problem of the environment, bothering some neighbors and not always contemplating the preferences of the residents. Seeking to improve this precarious functioning, the methodology of the Case Study with intervention (action research) was proposed to understand the problems of the Lamp post radios in general (state of the art); encourage the public space as a place of citizenship; empower the team; etc. Partnerships were made with social institutions (such as the local residents' association and DCE Uesc). A business plan was drawn up, since the self-financing of the sole sponsor is precarious. It concludes that the research managed to achieve its objectives, and suggests new studies: profitability, noise pollution and democratizing use.
