Summary: | This text seeks to bring some questions related to the teaching of history, especially those related to Law 11,645 of March 10, 2008, the study of Afro-Brazilian and indigenous history and culture in all public and private schools in the country. Brazil, in the modalities of elementary and high school. The text presents new historiographical approaches of the last 30 years about the recognition of indigenous history and culture for basic education and in the history of Brazil. The aim is to recognize indigenous peoples as protagonists in history, not just the transmission of simplistic idyllic images that recognized indigenous peoples trapped in a distant past at the mercy of the colonizer. |
