Итог: | In this 1st edition, the work consists of 3 chapters, in which, historical aspects of the creation of the Brazilian Unified Health System will be addressed, in addition to clinical and epidemiological aspects of Tuberculosis and its social outcomes in some municipalities in the State of Pernambuco, northeast region from Brazil, and in the last chapter a reflection on the problem of congenital syphilis in Brazil, the advances and difficulties observed in coping with this health problem. The fact that the country has advanced in the notification systems for diseases and health problems, reveals the difficulties and failures in facing various health problems, although for many scholars, there is a high underreporting, which does not allow us to see, in fact, the dimension of the problem. This work aims to portray important aspects in public health, becoming an important source of information, to guide studies on the history of the implantation of the Unified Health System, in addition to providing relevant epidemiological data. An excellent reading to all. |
