סיכום: | This article aims to review the concepts of public communication and public interest, based on authors such as Duarte et al. (2012), Bucci (2013; 2015), Jaramillo (2012), Rothberg (2011), Moraes Júnior (2013) and others. The work also presents a survey of the social functions of radio as a means of mass communication that, despite being old, still resists the advancement of other information technologies and remains a platform that plays an important role in society. The objective is to provide the reader with a reflection on the connection of these aspects to public interest radio journalism practiced in Brazil. To this end, the trajectory and main characteristics of Brazilian public radio are highlighted, according to Zuculoto (2012). |
